Obviously Funny

Having a sense of humor is popularly understood as having the ability to laugh at oneself. This is why The Simpsons has seen such phenomenal success--not because it is especially funny or cutting edge, but because it lays reality bare before our eyes. Most people choose to laugh upon seeing how ridiculous their actions and decisions really look. It is so much more fun than crying or mourning one's own frailty.
