ReThinking Warhol

Perhaps it is due to the recent lapse in decent films at the cinema, or worse, the honoring of pop-art with it's own bridge, but art seems to be a hot topic among Christians these days.

In the mail today was the latest byFaith magazine of the Presbyterian Church in America. Included are several articles highlighting "PCA Artists: Pointing to the Creator, Shaping the Culture". As I have a chance to peruse and interact with the articles, I will post. Given my thespian background, I am particularly interested in one bit on Christian actor, Matt Lutz.

While you are waiting, head over to Evangelical Outpost, and read up on God's Refrigerator: Can Christians Save the Visual Arts? Kudos to EO for taking Schaeffer seriously and flushing out the anti-art.

Oh, on the topic of art, one other piece from Best of the Web:

What Would We Do Without Police in Idaho?
"Police in Idaho Say Strippers Aren't Art"--headline, Associated Press, April 5
