"Don't Back Down"
“The day I take over the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, it will be the saddest day of my life, because that will mean the retirement of my father,” William Franklin Graham III said in 1995.Truth is hard to find in a neo-pagan culture whose theology appears to be a mile wide and an inch deep. Franklin might just be the Whitefield America needs to wake his father’s followers up to the truth claims of Scripture.
That day has come.
Billy Graham, who told the world everyone would be welcome in heaven if they just walked God's way, retired after his June crusade in New York.
Now comes the controversial son, who never fails to say Jesus is the only way.
Franklin Graham also called Islam ìa very evil and wicked religionî after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. He prayed ìin Jesus' nameî at President Bush's 2001 swearing-in ceremony. Both comments inspired a barrage of criticism, yet Franklin Graham never backed down.
Indeed, “don't back down” could be his second-favorite phrase after “Jesus saves.”
“I'm not condemning people. God's going to do that,” he says, holding up his gilt-edged black leather Bible during a long conversation on evangelism, politics and personality. “I just want to be honest with people. I just want to tell them the truth.”
May God bless Franklin Graham’s ministry.

Shaun, a hearty amen to the last paragraph. We need men like this in Australia. Great post!
Be encouraged!

I just found your blog and find it very refreshing in our waterdowned society filled with half truths in churches that lack your zeal.
Thank you Shawn for encouraging Franklin, myself and many others.
God Bless your work.
Teresa,
You are welcome. Thanks for the encouragement to persevere.
Shaun
