Should We Be Sending Aid to Africa?


Here is an enlightening interview with Kenyan economics expert James Shikwati on why sending aid is exactly what we should not be doing.

I think that Shikwati’s point that too much aid creates a dependence detrimental to leadership is particularly important as we consider missions work. All things being equal, rather than sending Americans to pastor in foreign countries, we really should be focusing our efforts on training national pastors to lead their people.
