Appears Evangelicals and Catholics Aren't As Together As Some Thought


I applaud the current Pope for his consistency by bringing his public policy in line with his theology.

Almost.

Saying that the Protestant Church is “defective” and not “proper” certainly ups the ante, but has Ratzinger forgotten completely about the whole anathema thing? I was under the impression that Protestants are not only defective according to Catholic dogma, but damned to hell for believing in justification by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and sola Scriptura.

Maybe I’m confused. Let me head over to see how Martin is doing in his grave.
